Wow, it has been a while since I last posted!

I’ve been working steadily and so I let my blog go a bit by the wayside. I plan to fix that, starting today!

My freelance work has fallen steadily into two main camps:

• Higher education content/thought leadership
• Nonprofit fundraising, which can include direct mail fundraising letters, grant writing, and editing

I’ve written plenty in other areas, in particular the personal finance space, travel, and inbound B2C marketing. I’m certainly happy to write in those spaces, but education and nonprofits seem to be where I am making the biggest impact.

After all, in my full-time professional life, the common thread has been doing work that helps others make meaningful connections between themselves and the world around them.

That was even the topic of my doctoral dissertation!

In coming days and weeks, I’ll be sharing insights from my experiences as a classroom teacher as well as tips to strengthen your writing.
